Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes by Yuan Yao was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. The price achieved of USD 670,000.00 (€ 588,235.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yuan Yao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cantilevered Road To Shu, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 2,045,000.00 (€ 1,484,357.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscapes von Yuan Yao kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 670.000,00 (€ 588.235,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yuan Yao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cantilevered Road To Shu beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 2.045.000,00 (€ 1.484.357,99) versteigert wurde.
