Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountains In Rain by Yuan Yao was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 200,835.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yuan Yao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Cantilevered Road To Shu in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,045,000.00 (€ 1,484,357.99).

Die Arbeit Mountains In Rain von Yuan Yao wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 200.835,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Yao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Cantilevered Road To Shu im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.045.000,00 (€ 1.484.357,99).
