Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy in Seal Script by Yuan Kewen. It changed hands for a price of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,169.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Kewen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 107,922.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script von Yuan Kewen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.169,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuan Kewen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 107.922,19).
