In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center auction, the work Calligraphy in Running Script sold for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,742.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yuan Kewen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 107,922.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yuan Kewen erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.742,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuan Kewen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 107.922,19).
