A top price for Yuan Kewen
The work Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun by Yuan Kewen was worth HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 107,922.19) to a buyer in April 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Calligraphy After Ouyang Xun the most expensive artwork by Yuan Kewen that we have observed at auctions so far.
