Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Leaves and Two Birds by Yu Zhonglin was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,450.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Zhonglin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds By The Waterweeds in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75).
