Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blossoms/Calligraphy by Yu Zhonglin was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 900.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,125.00 (€ 913.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Zhonglin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds By The Waterweeds in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blossoms/Calligraphy von Yu Zhonglin kam im März 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 900,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 913,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Zhonglin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds By The Waterweeds im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 61.771,75).
