Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Vegetables by Yu Zhonglin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Zhonglin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Birds By The Waterweeds, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 61,771.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vegetables von Yu Zhonglin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Zhonglin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Birds By The Waterweeds beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 61.771,75) versteigert wurde.
