Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Circle by Yu Youhan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 351,746.67), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Youhan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1985-4, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,225,342.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Circle von Yu Youhan wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 351.746,67) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Youhan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1985-4 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 14.100.000,00 (€ 1.225.342,42) versteigert wurde.
