Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction, which included the work Abstract 1988-8 by Yu Youhan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 182,129.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yu Youhan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1985-4 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,225,342.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract 1988-8 von Yu Youhan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 182.129,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Youhan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1985-4 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.100.000,00 (€ 1.225.342,42).
