Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The People are the Heroes of Their Time I-3 by Yu Youhan was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 850,000.00 (€ 89,656.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Youhan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 1985-4 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,225,342.42).

Die Arbeit The People are the Heroes of Their Time I-3 von Yu Youhan kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 850.000,00 (€ 89.656,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Youhan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 1985-4 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.100.000,00 (€ 1.225.342,42).
