Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract 1990-14 by Yu Youhan was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 3,200,000.00 – 5,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 3,600,000.00 (€ 449,206.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Youhan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 1985-4, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,225,342.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract 1990-14 von Yu Youhan kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 3.200.000,00 – 5.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 3.600.000,00 (€ 449.206,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Youhan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 1985-4 beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 14.100.000,00 (€ 1.225.342,42) versteigert wurde.
