The work Chairman Mao And Statue Of Liberty by Yu Youhan was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 85,731.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Youhan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 1985-4 in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 14,100,000.00 (€ 1,225,342.42).

Die Arbeit Chairman Mao And Statue Of Liberty von Yu Youhan wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 85.731,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Youhan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 1985-4 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.100.000,00 (€ 1.225.342,42).
