In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy - The Family Instructions of Zhu Xi by Yu Pingbo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,464.09), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yu Pingbo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poems In Kaishu in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 596,000.00 (€ 59,333.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy - The Family Instructions of Zhu Xi von Yu Pingbo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.464,09) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Pingbo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poems In Kaishu im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 596.000,00 (€ 59.333,23).
