This artwork by Yu Pingbo achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Regular Script sold for HKD 240,000.00 (€ 30,754.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yu Pingbo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Poems In Kaishu sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of HKD 596,000.00 (€ 59,333.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Pingbo erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script für HKD 240.000,00 (€ 30.754,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yu Pingbo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Poems In Kaishu im Oktober 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 596.000,00 (€ 59.333,23).
