In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Plum Blossoms In Snowy Garden by Yu Ming. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 212,500.00 (€ 19,763.88), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monk; Scholar By The Pond, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).

Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms In Snowy Garden von Yu Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 19.763,88) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monk; Scholar By The Pond beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09) versteigert wurde.
