Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio, which included the work Laozi by Yu Ming. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,491.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yu Ming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monk; Scholar By The Pond in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy from the Yong Li Studio durch, in der auch die Arbeit Laozi von Yu Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.491,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Ming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monk; Scholar By The Pond im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09).
