The work Ladies Picking Water Chestnut by Yu Ming was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,873.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Admittedly, works by Yu Ming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monk; Scholar By The Pond in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).

Die Arbeit Ladies Picking Water Chestnut von Yu Ming kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.873,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Ming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monk; Scholar By The Pond im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09).
