This artwork by Yu Ming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Autumn Leaves/Calligraphy sold for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,718.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Ming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Monk; Scholar By The Pond in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 66,037.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Ming erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Autumn Leaves/Calligraphy für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.718,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Ming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Monk; Scholar By The Pond im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 66.037,09).
