Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work The Snail by Yto Barrada. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,606.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yto Barrada have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 36,770.89).
