A top price for Yto Barrada
In November 2017 Sothebys in Dubai held the auction Boundless: Dubai, which included the work French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) by Yto Barrada. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 36,770.89). With this result, French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) is even the most expensive work of art by Yto Barrada that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Yto Barrada
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in Dubai die Auktion Boundless: Dubai durch, in der auch die Arbeit French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) von Yto Barrada zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 36.770,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yto Barrada, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
