Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wallpaper, Tangier by Yto Barrada was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in May 2011. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,858.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yto Barrada achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 36,770.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wallpaper, Tangier von Yto Barrada wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.858,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yto Barrada erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French play (Lyautey Unit Blocks) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 36.770,89).
