The work Muhammad Ali by Yousuf Karsh was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,585.16), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yousuf Karsh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fifteen Portraits in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,970.84).

Die Arbeit Muhammad Ali von Yousuf Karsh wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.585,16) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yousuf Karsh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fifteen Portraits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.970,84).
