Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Albert Einstein; Robert Frost; and Joan Miro 3 by Yousuf Karsh was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,280.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yousuf Karsh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fifteen Portraits in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,970.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Albert Einstein; Robert Frost; and Joan Miro 3 von Yousuf Karsh wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.280,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yousuf Karsh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fifteen Portraits im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.970,84).
