Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Nara Yoshitomo was sold in the Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 27,400,000.00 (€ 2,976,350.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 18,000,000.00 – 28,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nara Yoshitomo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Knife Behind Back in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 195,969,000.00 (€ 22,398,966.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nara Yoshitomo wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 27.400.000,00 (€ 2.976.350,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 18.000.000,00 – 28.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nara Yoshitomo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Knife Behind Back im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 195.969.000,00 (€ 22.398.966,83).
