Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hut on Beach by Yong Mun Sen was sold in the Modern Art Online: From Zao Wou-Ki to Le Pho auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. The price achieved of HKD 189,000.00 (€ 20,530.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yong Mun Sen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beach , which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 61,629.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hut on Beach von Yong Mun Sen wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art Online: From Zao Wou-Ki to Le Pho bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 189.000,00 (€ 20.530,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yong Mun Sen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beach beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 61.629,44) versteigert wurde.
