A top price for Yong Mun Sen
In July 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale, which included the work Beach by Yong Mun Sen. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 61,629.44). With this result, Beach is even the most expensive work of art by Yong Mun Sen that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Yong Mun Sen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beach von Yong Mun Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 61.629,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Beach sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yong Mun Sen, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
