Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online: From Zao Wou-Ki to Le Pho, which included the work (i) Kampong and Fishermen (ii) Kampong, Palm Trees and Boat by Yong Mun Sen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,558.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yong Mun Sen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beach in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 61,629.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online: From Zao Wou-Ki to Le Pho durch, in der auch die Arbeit (i) Kampong and Fishermen (ii) Kampong, Palm Trees and Boat von Yong Mun Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.558,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yong Mun Sen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beach im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 61.629,44).
