Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included this untitled work by Yohanan Simon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,535.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yohanan Simon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At The Kibbutz in December 2012 with an auction result of USD 128,500.00 (€ 97,451.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Yohanan Simon zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.535,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yohanan Simon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit At The Kibbutz im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 128.500,00 (€ 97.451,84).
