Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Independence Day by Yohanan Simon. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,755.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yohanan Simon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At The Kibbutz in December 2012 with an auction result of USD 128,500.00 (€ 97,451.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Independence Day von Yohanan Simon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 19.755,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yohanan Simon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At The Kibbutz im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 128.500,00 (€ 97.451,84).
