Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Soupirant by Yohanan Simon was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,975.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yohanan Simon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work At The Kibbutz in December 2012 with an auction result of USD 128,500.00 (€ 97,451.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Soupirant von Yohanan Simon kam im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.975,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yohanan Simon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit At The Kibbutz im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 128.500,00 (€ 97.451,84).
