This artwork by Yin Jun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2007. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Crying sold for GBP 13,700.00 (€ 18,615.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yin Jun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Crying No. 3 sold at auction in September 2008 with the realized price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 35,508.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yin Jun erzielte im Dezember 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Crying für GBP 13.700,00 (€ 18.615,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yin Jun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Crying No. 3 im September 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 35.508,84).
