The work Crying No. 8 by Yin Jun was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. It achieved a price of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,657.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. Admittedly, works by Yin Jun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crying No. 3 in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 35,508.84).

Die Arbeit Crying No. 8 von Yin Jun wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.657,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yin Jun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crying No. 3 im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 35.508,84).
