Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pippi Longstocking by Yi Hwan-Kwon was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 240,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,723.70). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yi Hwan-Kwon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jangdockdae Daughter and Son-colour, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 860,000.00 (€ 89,344.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pippi Longstocking von Yi Hwan-Kwon kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 240.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 23.723,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yi Hwan-Kwon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jangdockdae Daughter and Son-colour beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 860.000,00 (€ 89.344,33) versteigert wurde.
