Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Leon and Matilda by Yi Hwan-Kwon was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 620,000.00 (€ 55,461.88), 24% above the upper estimate. Other works by Yi Hwan-Kwon have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 89,344.33) in May 2010 for the work Jangdockdae Daughter and Son-colour.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 55.461,88) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Yi Hwan-Kwon haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 89.344,33) im Mai 2010 für die Arbeit Jangdockdae Daughter and Son-colour beobachtet.
