Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Yi Hwan-Kwon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Children Of My Next Door (Two Works) sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 20,801.37) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yi Hwan-Kwon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jangdockdae Daughter and Son-colour in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 89,344.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yi Hwan-Kwon erzielte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Children Of My Next Door (Two Works) für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 20.801,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yi Hwan-Kwon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jangdockdae Daughter and Son-colour im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 89.344,33).
