Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Album 'The Happy Life Of A Young Man', 1920S - 1930S by Yevgeni Khaldei was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,899.19). Admittedly, works by Yevgeni Khaldei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Original Maquette for Ot Murmanska do Berlina. Sto Mgnovenii Voiny 1941-1945. Sobytiia i Liudi (From Murmansk to Berlin. One Hundred Moments of the War 1941-1945. Events and People.) in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 85,851.65).

Als die Arbeit Album 'The Happy Life Of A Young Man', 1920S - 1930S von Yevgeni Khaldei im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.899,19) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yevgeni Khaldei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Original Maquette for Ot Murmanska do Berlina.
