This artwork by Yan Wenliang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work Magnificent Landscape sold for HKD 1,140,000.00 (€ 124,732.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yan Wenliang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Night Moon in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,360,000.00 (€ 503,935.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yan Wenliang erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Magnificent Landscape für HKD 1.140.000,00 (€ 124.732,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yan Wenliang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Night Moon im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.360.000,00 (€ 503.935,34).
