Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled; and a companion print by Yehiel Shemi was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2007. The price achieved of USD 3,840.00 (€ 2,954.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yehiel Shemi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Complex, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,980.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled; and a companion print von Yehiel Shemi kam im Januar 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 2.954,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yehiel Shemi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Complex beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.980,53) versteigert wurde.
