In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Onion by Yeh Tzu-Chi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,932.86), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yeh Tzu-Chi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mist, Bruwan, Hualien (Painted In 2009-2010) in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,180,000.00 (€ 126,337.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Onion von Yeh Tzu-Chi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.932,86) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yeh Tzu-Chi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mist, Bruwan, Hualien (Painted In 2009-2010) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.180.000,00 (€ 126.337,49).
