Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pumkpin - Green by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2007. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,652.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pumkpin - Green von Yayoi Kusama kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.652,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
