Sold at the lower estimate price
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection, which included the work Work by Yasuo Sumi. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,521.43) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yasuo Sumi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,357.66).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Work von Yasuo Sumi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.521,43) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yasuo Sumi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.357,66).
