Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work UNTITLED by Yasuo Sumi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 6,092.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yasuo Sumi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,357.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit UNTITLED von Yasuo Sumi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 6.092,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yasuo Sumi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.357,66).
