Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yasuo Sumi could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Asobi: Ingenious Creativity, Japanese Works of Art from Antiquity to Contemporary auction, the work Untitled, 1958 changed hands for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,882.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yasuo Sumi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,357.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yasuo Sumi konnte im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Asobi: Ingenious Creativity, Japanese Works of Art from Antiquity to Contemporary wechselte die Arbeit Untitled, 1958 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.882,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yasuo Sumi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Work beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.357,66) versteigert wurde.
