Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Yasuo Sumi was sold in the Japanese Art and Design auction at Christies in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,155.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yasuo Sumi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 937,500.00 (€ 108,357.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Yasuo Sumi wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Japanese Art and Design bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.155,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yasuo Sumi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 937.500,00 (€ 108.357,66).
