Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Selected Chicago images by Yasuhiro Ishimoto. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,553.50 (€ 1,441.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yasuhiro Ishimoto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,477.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected Chicago images von Yasuhiro Ishimoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.553,50 (€ 1.441,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yasuhiro Ishimoto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.477,25).
