The work The Bicycle by Yannis Kottis was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary ArtDay Auction auction at Christies in London in February 2011. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,668.75), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yannis Kottis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Blue Bicycle, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,635.25).

Die Arbeit The Bicycle von Yannis Kottis wurde im Februar 2011 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary ArtDay Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.668,75) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yannis Kottis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Blue Bicycle beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.635,25) versteigert wurde.
