This artwork by Yang Yanwen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS I auction, the work Water Village sold for HKD 78,000.00 (€ 8,534.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yang Yanwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Casting The Net, which sold at auction in December 2015 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,789.21).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Yanwen erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS I wurde die Arbeit Water Village für HKD 78.000,00 (€ 8.534,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Yang Yanwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Casting The Net beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.789,21) versteigert wurde.
