Previously in the Collection of Mrs. Irene Tseng (1955-2015) 曾月利女士珍藏古代及近現代中國書畫 LOTS 2-6 曾月利（1955-2015），生於台北，幼隨父旅居東南亞，後負笈美國，畢業於加州大學土木工程系。一九八二至九四年間擔任新加坡企業投資總經理及中國區業務董事總經理，頻繁來往星洲、大陸及港、台等地，在商業領域成績卓越。退休後，曾氏擇港而居，與畫家黃永玉毗鄰。 出於對藝術的熱忱，曾氏上世紀八十年代起，商旅每經一處，必出入當地廠肆。廿年間，所彙藏品，逾數百件，上至商周青銅，下至明清家具、瓷器，旁及藏傳佛�

Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
When the work Cypress by Yang Yanwen was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 5,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than seven times as high at HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,154.94). Admittedly, works by Yang Yanwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Casting The Net in December 2015 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,789.21).
Kunstwerk zum Siebenfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Cypress von Yang Yanwen im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 5.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 38.250,00 (€ 4.154,94) mehr als siebenmal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Yanwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Casting The Net im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.789,21).
