Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yang Yanwen could be acquired at Christies in New York in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Tropical Scenery changed hands for HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,482.15) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Yanwen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Casting The Net in December 2015 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,789.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Yanwen konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online wechselte die Arbeit Tropical Scenery für HKD 12.600,00 (€ 1.482,15) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Yanwen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Casting The Net im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.789,21).
